Hire terms

1. Who you’re hiring from

Frome Eco Party Kit is run by Georgina Krstic (“Gina”, “we”), a sole trader trading as Frome Eco Party Kit, in Frome, Somerset.

2. What you’re hiring

You’re hiring the items listed on your quote, in the colours on your quote, for the dates and times on your quote. The items stay Gina’s; you’re borrowing them for your party.

3. Your booking

Your booking is confirmed when you’ve agreed to these terms on your quote and paid in full. Until then, nothing is reserved, and the quote can be changed or withdrawn. Each quote can be paid until the date shown on it.

4. Price and payment

The price is the total on your quote. You pay all of it when you book, online through Stripe. Gina never sees your card details.

5. Collection and return

• Collect the items from Gina’s home in Frome at the time on your quote. You’ll get the address and directions once you’ve paid.
• Bring everything back to the same place by the date and time on your quote.
• If you can’t make a time, tell Gina as soon as you can.
• Check the items against the list in your confirmation email when you collect. If anything is missing or damaged, tell Gina then.

6. Looking after the items

• Use the items for your party, and keep them together.
• The games, such as the parachute, are for children to use with an adult in charge.
• The hot water urn is for adults to use. Keep it out of children’s reach while it’s hot.
• Don’t lend the items to anyone else.

7. Washing up

• If you chose washing up: scrape and wipe the food off everything, pack it back in the box, and keep the bunting separate. Gina does the rest.
• If you didn’t: wash everything before you bring it back. It’s all dishwasher-safe up to 70°C. Dry each piece with a tea towel before packing, so nothing goes mouldy in the box.

8. Breakages and missing items

Scratches and other signs of normal use are fine. Please tell Gina about anything broken or missing when you bring the box back.

Any charge is sent to you by a payment link.

9. If you cancel

• Cancel any time before your collection time, and Gina refunds everything you paid except £5. To cancel, reply to any email about your booking, or send Gina a message through the form at fromeecopartykit.com/enquiry.
• The refund goes back to the card you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 working days.
• The 14-day cancellation period that applies to many online purchases doesn’t apply to this hire, because it’s a service related to a leisure activity, booked for a specific date (regulation 28(1)(h) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013). Your right to cancel under these terms still applies.

10. If Gina has to cancel

If Gina can’t provide your hire, for example because she’s ill, she’ll tell you as soon as she can and refund everything you paid.

11. If something’s wrong with the items

If an item isn’t as described or isn’t fit to use, tell Gina as soon as you can. She’ll replace it if she can, or refund what you paid for it. This doesn’t affect your legal rights.

12. Responsibility

Gina is responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of her breaking these terms or not using reasonable care and skill. She isn’t responsible for loss that couldn’t have been foreseen. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

13. Your personal details

How your details are used is in the privacy notice at fromeecopartykit.com/privacy.

14. Changes to these terms

These terms can change, but the version you agreed to when you paid is the one that applies to your booking.

15. The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If there’s a dispute, you can take it to the courts of England and Wales, or of Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there.
